We bought the Recaro Signo for our first-born. She rode home from the hospital in it, and has never sat in anything else. We're in the market for a 2nd one. We've done plenty of long car trips, and she's always been comfortable. We tested out other high-end seats in the store, and this one won us over by a landside for comfort and safety. If the straps twist, it's easy to remedy- and I keep this from happening by sliding the buckles to the bottom of the strap when I remove my daughter from the seat. I love that I can lift out the bottom cushion for cleaning, and that the padding at the harness and sides is so cushiony- makes great for those 10 hour long trips on the road.

I've had 3 kids and this has to be by far the BEST car seat I've ever bought!! Although it is a bit on the heavy side the price was great and my now 1 year old has been in it since 8 months and is abolutley comfortable in it for long periods of time!!...

I'm often amazed people will spend $400.00 on a stroller and they will have a $50.00 car seat. This is worth every penny for your child's safety. While it is quite large (the only reason I gave it 4 stars, I feel cramped buckling my daughter in) the quality and peace of mind I have using this are priceless.

It meets rigorous safety standards, the material is very comfortable for your child and easy to maintain. It has a metal frame (not just plastic) and you can SEE how strong it is. Very easy to install as well. We have the pink and grey discontinued model but I still wanted to share my thoughts.

Even if you don't like this one, don't go cheap. Your child is worth it.
