We purchased the Recaro Vivo Booster because my daughter was quickly outgrowing her current carseat. I was skeptical of putting my 3 1/2 year old in a booster without a 5 point harness, so I did much research. I read reviews, crash test results, recommendations from friends, and even looked up the Consumer Report. Most pointed to this particular booster. The fact that it was within our budget was another plus! It had extremely high ratings from consumer reports and the IIHS. We purchased it on Sunday, it arrived on Tuesday, and was in our car installed by me on Wednesday morning! I was amazed at how easy it was to use! My daughter loves it too saying that it is the most comfortable chair she's ever used! I'm very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it! The headrest with the side impact wings was a little strange looking to me at first and I thought my daughter would not like it, but so far, no complaints! We are all very happy!

We did a lot of research before switching our 4 year old from a regular car seat with a 5 point harness to a booster seat that uses the car's seat belt as it's only restraint. We found that the Recaro Vivo had the highest safety ratings by Consumer Reports and various other consumer sites of any high back booster seat. We used a hand me down Graco booster seat for a week while we waited for the Recaro to arrive and didn't like that when our son fell asleep in it, his little head would fall forward and he couldn't really get comfortable in it...the back was too "straight up & down". With the adjustable "tilt" of the Recaro, this no longer happens. We are so pleased with the Recaro and our boy likes it too - it is his "big boy seat". The fabric is quite nice and very resilient. It washes up very easily. Our son had a little carsick accident in it and I was so pleased with how easy it was to clean. It is a snap to move from one car to the other, no more install worries. At first I thought that the protective sides that are up around his face would be uncomfortable for him but they're not. I like knowing there is a little extra side impact protection with this seat. The price is truly astounding as well. It sells for $30-$80 less than the next comparable high back booster. It's surprising to me that more stores don't carry this brand. We could get it through Babies R Us and our local Goore's baby store here in Northern California, but both said they'd have to order and it would take up to 6 weeks. We ordered ours through Amazon and had it in less than a week. Even with the cost of shipping, it was downright reasonable. Couldn't be more pleased.

This is a wonderful product. I have owned both Graco and Compass boosters. I did a LOT of research before buying my next booster, and chose this one. It is so much sturdier and plusher than the graco turbo booster. It doesn't have cup holders or moving armrests like the compass boosters, nor is it "fold-able". However, the belt is positioned much better across my son's lap, and I love that it has the side protection foam that goes all the way down on the sides. For me it's all about safety, and this seat is the winner. (And it is easy to clean as well.)
